HIVE secures $220 million contract for AI infrastructure in Canada

HIVE Digital Technologies has signed a three-year, $220 million contract to deploy GPU infrastructure for sovereign AI in Canada. The company's BUZZ High Performance Computing division will install 2,304 Nvidia Grace Blackwell accelerators at a site in Merritt, British Columbia.

The capacity will be used for Cohere's enterprise AI models aimed at government agencies and businesses. The launch is expected in late 2026 to early 2027.
