The number of cryptocurrency terminals in the world continues to grow, despite the falling prices of the assets represented in this market. According to the Coin ATM Radar portal, in November various manufacturers of cryptocurrency terminal infrastructure installed 209 such devices, while 68 previously launched ones were shut down. The net increase of 141 terminals is comparable to the October figures, when their number grew by 150.
The United States remains the most progressive jurisdiction in terms of cryptocurrency terminal coverage – over the past month 70 new devices appeared there, bringing their total number to 2,243. Next on the list are Australia and Canada, where 17 and 16 terminals appeared respectively.
In addition, residents of Peru, Albania and South Korea gained access to such terminals for the first time in November. In Peru and Albania the major Prague manufacturer General Bytes installed its devices, while in South Korea it was the local company DOBI ATM.
General Bytes installed the largest number of crypto terminals over the past month worldwide (80). It is followed by Genesis Coin (36) and Lamassu Bitcoin Ventures (12).
Also in November the number of altcoins supported by cryptocurrency terminals grew by 59%. Bitcoin continues to be accepted by the majority of available terminals – 4,042 out of 4,047.
